We are really excited to share that Lucy Shortt is returning to Hmmm Squad after her *triumphant* talk last year on Neurodiversity.
This time, Lucy will be exploring “Talking with our hands” and how using gestures can help us communicate more clearly and effectively with others. Research suggests that up to 93% of communication is non-verbal, including gestures, facial expressions, and body language, and hand movements alone can significantly enhance understanding and retention of information, and in this talk Lucy will bring that idea to life with practical insights we can all use
Lucy has over 30 years’ experience as a Speech and Language Therapist and specialises in areas including:
• Learning Disability and Learning Difficulties
• Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
• Social Communication Disorder (SCD)
• Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)
• Specific Language Disorder
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties
As those who came last year will know, this will be an engaging, informative, and thought-provoking session.
We hope you can join us for what is sure to be another inspiring talk from Lucy.
