🍦🛵 Ride to the Ice Cream Bar: It's Their 1 Year Anniversary! 🎉
Our friends Emily & Lacie are celebrating the 1-year anniversary of their Everett gem: The Ice Cream Bar! It's a taphouse with ice cream, snacks, and a play area for kids. Let’s roll up to celebrate with them in scooter style!
📍 Meetup
Where: Diva Espresso @ 145th & Greenwood (side parking, bathrooms, and coffee fix, there's even a gas station across the street!)
When: Meetup at 10:30 AM → Kickstands up at 11:00 AM!
🛣️ Route & Stops
We’ll take a scenic ride north through Edmonds and along the waterfront to Everett. Expect about 30–35 miles total (~1.5 hours riding time), plus stops. This is not a long ride (unless you live far away from the meetup point :) )
What are the stops? Glad you asked!
- Scenic Stop: Edmonds Waterfront (Puget Sound & ferry views)
- Scenic/Photo/Pit Stop: Brun Idun Troll @ Ballinger Park (Thomas Dambo’s troll sculpture)
- Lunch Stop: Diamond Knot Brewery, Mukilteo Lighthouse Park (hearty pub food, most meals $15–$20, with a killer view)
- Optional Quick Stop – Depending on how we're doing on time, we can also stop at Howarth Park in Everett (Sound views & stretch break)
- Final Destination (the good kind!): The Ice Cream Bar (2810 Colby Ave Everett) Anniversary festivities start at 4:00 PM, but we’ll arrive earlier to beat the rush, get a table, say hi, etc.
🛵 Ride Notes
Minimum CC: 125cc recommended. Short stretches up to 45 mph, mostly 25–35 mph roads
Fuel: Start with a full tank (gas available across the street from the meetup point)
Pace: Mellow and relatively short group ride, with time for food, photos, and fun
Options: Stay for the full party starting at 4pm or just hang for a pint and head back when you like
Ride at Your Own Risk (and Your Own Bravery)
This ride is filled with curves, trolls, and ice cream-fueled nostalgia. While we promise scenic views and hearty laughs, we can't promise you won't have to brake for curious kids, sudden ferry comings-and-goings, or rogue ice cream cones. Gear up responsibly, ride sensibly, and by participating, you're declaring, "Yeah, I’m cool with this adventure and whatever comes with it." Scooters crash, friendships grow, and memories last; stay smart, stay safe, and let the good times roll!
