Richmond Beach Historical Flood Walk - FREE

SHORELINE WALKS
Explore neighborhoods, parks and trails on some of the best walking routes in our City. Designed for adults ages 50+ but open to all ages and abilities, each walk is led by a Volunteer Walk Leader and all walks are free. No need to sign up, just show up at the meetup location and we'll take care of the rest! Friendly dogs on a leash are welcome to join.

Richmond Beach Historical Flood Walk - FREE
Gain a new perspective on Richmond Beach by learning how the land was shaped by “The Great Richmond Beach Flood” of 16,100 BP (before present). This hearty walk will uncover how a geological event had a major impact on how the land was settled and used for centuries by the people who have lived here. This walk is rated difficult due to its distance and several large hills we’ll slowly climb.
Walk is: 3.5 miles / 2 hours
Walk Rating: Difficult (longer distance and hills)
Meet at: Richmond Beach Library, meet in parking lot but park along the street. (do not park in library parking lot)
