In this one-hour, beginner-friendly session, you’ll learn how to confidently plan and manage home improvement projects—with less stress. We’ll walk through the steps to turn your ideas into action and make sure you’re prepared for whatever homeownership throws your way.

You’ll learn how to:

1. Define and prioritize your first home projects
2. Build a budget that works for you (and how to track it)
3. Choose the right tools and materials (with help from the Tool Library!)
4. Build an emergency plan for unexpected home issues
5. Stay on top of ongoing home maintenance, so small problems don’t become big ones

About the instructors, Dylan Meade & Judy Nguyen: Dylan Meade and Judy Nguyen are professional program managers and passionate DIYers. After buying their first home, they learned first-hand how overwhelming it can feel—and how planning and organization make all the difference. From renovating the kitchen to moving walls and building the basement of their dreams (a theater room and a gym!), they wanted to make DIY less intimidating and built Homebodiy based on their own homeownership experiences. They’re excited to help you take the first step on your own home improvement journey.
