Tours for Heritage Open Days at Shoreham Fort

Architecture... What a great theme to have for this year's Heritage Open Days Festival...

Not only can we share with you Shoreham Fort's amazing examples from the innovative Victorians, we can't wait to also share the phenomenal plans for Shoreham Fort's future.

A local volunteer will take you on a guided tour of Shoreham Fort, bringing to life it's past and sharing it's unique and diverse history and being a prototype to the Palmerston Forts it will explain the design flaws in Littlehampton Fort which were corrected here with us at Shoreham. It will take you into the last useable First World War Nissen Hut in the country which in itself has a pretty impressive architectural style. Even our officially registered WWI War Memorial has more to it than meets the eye.
