These casual pants and just the thing for ‘wafting’ about in summer, with a loose fit, elastic waist and pockets they are a super make and a great addition to your wardrobe.
Suitable for those with some sewing experience, you will need to be able to sew seams accurately.

Please let us have your dress size and waist and inner and outer leg measurements before the class so Alison can draft a pattern for you to use on the day (you can purchase the pattern from Alison on the day if you'd like to make more of these wonderful pants once you've got the hang of them!).
Fabric - you will need a nice soft drapey fabric to create these casual loose fitting pants. Viscose, viscose blends, linen, linen blends are best. Avoid satin, jersey and fabrics that are very firm or heavy. You will also need matching thread for sewing.
2.50 meters of fabric. If you are tall / have long legs, you will need more fabric - please ask for advice in the fabric shop.
Elastic, you will need enough to go around your waist, the width is your choice, 2.5cm if you prefer a narrow elastic up to 5cm if you like a deeper waist finish.
Skill Level: You need to have some experience of sewing with a sewing machine.
Cost: £70 per person - equipment is included but you need to bring along your own fabric, matching thread and elastic (details above).
