First time snow stopped us short of our destination.
We are going to be exploring the mountain of glass that was created 950 years ago from the volcanic eruption of Medicine Lake.
Meeting location Pit River Mini Mart 20258 Tamarack Ave, Burney, CA 96013
Meet at the Mini Mart at 9 am
Group introduction starts at 9am followed by brief description of trail, communications and good stewardship of the lands we travel.
9:15 we head out to the airdown location.
Roughly 35 min drive from Mini. Mart.
All times are estimations as to what time we should be back to start point.
This is a loopback to Hwy 89 may not be exact start location.
We will be traveling to Little Glass Mountain, Jot Dean Ice Cave.
