Leslie Paula was born into a musical family, and from a young age learned everything she could musically from her Father, Mike Gutierrez. A successful vocalist & timbalero who became a Latin music icon during the golden era of Latin music in the late 1950s and early 1960s recording and performing with Latin icons, Bobby Montez, Cal TJader and George Shearing. She formed her Latin Soul Band in 1995, making her father an integral part of her show. Leslie quickly became one of the hottest acts on the Los Angeles circuit. She began recording the first of four CDs in 1998, and it was the recordings that really put her on the map.
