Russell Pond Weekend

4 days of hiking, camping and gorgeous sites and wildlife, in Baxter State Park. One of the most remote locations in Maine.
We will start our hike from the campsite, then hike into Russell Pond. Staying in a lean-to. This is a long hike, 7 miles one way. the only way in or out from the pond. Please, take that into consideration.
All gear and food will have to be carried in per backpack. Pack Light!
All reservations for the lean to and parking passes are included.
Things to bring:
Backpack
Water shoes, besides hiking boots for stream crossings
Snacks and food etc
Water purifier for drinking purposes
Clothing- cold weather attire. may be chilly at night
sleeping bag and pad
bug spray
head lamp
hiking poles (personal preference)
small first aid kit and any personal meds
