About the event

Artists in Residence Present at November Jentel Presents

Before gathering with your family and feasting on turkey and other delicious food, come spend some time at Jentel Presents. Our new residents come from all over the country, with some from within our state. Jentel Presents provides the opportunity for these artists to share their visual artwork and writing with our charming Sheridan community. This event will take place on Tuesday, November 25, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. Feel free to bring your lunch; cookies will be provided. Jentel Presents is open to all who wish to join.

This month’s presenters include Katy Jarzebowski, Forest Knolls, CA; A composer; Everything is music, and music is in everything! Katy composes for film and ballet and is passionate about unexpected sounds and instruments. Molly Blumberg, Chicago, IL; A sculptor; Molly is a gardener and women’s sports enthusiast. As a child, her favorite band was Talking Heads, and this has largely informed her lifelong sensibilities. Jessica Gregg, Albuquerque, NM; A nonfiction writer; Jessica describes herself honestly as just a nice person, exactly as boring and as wonderful as that sounds. Nicholas Otte, Port Washington, NY; A fiction writer; Nicholas adores dogs, baking, and movies. In a past life, he was a singer. In this one, he is whatever it takes to write. Chris Parmelee, Laramie, WY; A multidisciplinary artist; Chris worked on Alzheimer's research in a biophysics lab, is the drummer in the band The Grieve, and tries to coherently fit art, music, and science together. Lucinda Shaiken, Philadelphia, PA; A painter; In Lucinda’s non-painting time, she dabbles in sculpting gargoyles. She has also been using a pasta machine and recycled plastic to make dry-point prints of rats.

Join us as Jentel hosts the next Jentel Presents on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

The Jentel Artist Residency offers dedicated individuals a supportive environment in which to further their creative development. While at Jentel, visual artists, writers, and composers have the opportunity to experience unfettered time to allow for thoughtful reflection and meditation on the creative process in a setting that preserves the agricultural and historical integrity of the land.

The Jentel Artist Residency accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all media, writers in all genres, and composers in all genres for a three-week residency. A residency includes comfortable accommodation; common living, dining, and recreation areas; a private workspace; and a stipend to help defray expenses during the program. For more information, please visit www.jentelarts.org or call Jentel at (307)737-2311.
