Sadako's Cranes: Peace storytime

A special peace storytime and activity in honor of International Day of Peace (9/21).

Join us for a special storytime featuring Sadako’s Cranes by Judith Loske, the inspiring story of a young girl whose paper cranes became a symbol of peace and hope. After the story, we’ll talk together about kindness and peace, then learn to fold our own origami cranes. Younger children will have pre-folded cranes they can decorate with drawings and messages before adding them to our collection. All cranes will be part of our library’s community project as we work toward folding 1,000 cranes for peace.
