Kids' Group Guitar Class (8-Week Class, September 4-October 23)

The ideal way to learn the guitar in a stress-free setting for students ages 7 to 11. Students will learn how to play the guitar in a fun and enjoyable way with other beginners. In class, students will learn how to read music on the guitar, play chords and play songs in an ensemble. Throughout the course, playing will be emphasized both in full group and smaller group settings. At the end of the course students will do a short concert for parents and guardians. This class is led by Peter Heiss, Professor for Guitar at the Shepherd University School of Music.

Fall 2025 Dates: Thursdays, September 4-October 23, 5-6 pm. Students must provide a 1/2 size acoustic guitar. Guitars may also be purchased at nearby music companies such as Ellsworth, Guitar Center, or Music&Arts.
