Shellharbour City Library is excited to be hosting authors Jane Caro and Matthew Spencer, for an in-conversation on their latest works!
Jane Caro AM is a Walkley award winning Australian columnist, author, novelist, feminist, public education activist and social commentator. She was also awarded the B&T Women in Media Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023. She has published thirteen books, including the bestselling novel The Mother.
Matthew Spencer, is a journalist at The Australian for twenty years with long stints running the Foreign News desk and as Opinion Editor. He has written for newspapers and magazines in Uganda and Kenya and been published in The Australian Financial Review and The Sydney Morning Herald. Matthew’s first novel, Black River won the 2023 Danger Award for Debut Crime Fiction, and was shortlisted fora 2023 Ned Kelly Award for Best Debut Crime Fiction.
Matthew, discussing his newest release Broke Road, and Jane discussing her newest release Lyrebird, will be speaking at Shellharbour City Library on their experiences writing and researching in a fabulous in-conversation.
