Are you a teacher, group leader or community leader? Do you live or work in Wisewood, or is your group based there?
At this FREE workshop you’ll learn how to make lanterns for an upcoming community parade, and also learn the skills you need to teach your group how to make them!
This Winter we will be hosting a community lantern parade in Wisewood, and we’ll be running several workshops with partners throughout the Autumn to help everyone make lanterns for it. But our funding doesn’t stretch to working with every group, and we know there will be groups we can’t get to this time who are keen to join in! This workshop is an opportunity for group leaders and teachers to learn the skills, so you can teach your groups/classes yourself, and so even more people will be able to join in with the parade – or perhaps host future parades in the area…
Meet lead artists Patrick Amber and Jo Veal, who will introduce you to the equipment, and teach you to make and decorate simple lanterns so you can share these skills with your group or class. The session will be relaxed, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions. We will also provide you with an instruction sheet and short video to remind you of the steps after the session.
