Track Dogs are 2 Irish men, 1 Englishman and 1 American.
Their artistic name derives from the dark subterranean world of New York’s subway system.
Formed in the autumn of 2006 in Madrid around the eclectic mix of acoustic guitar, electric bass, trumpet and cajon, over the following 18 years they’ve added ukulele and mandolin as well as honing their four part vocal harmonies now very much part of their sound.
Well established in Spain, where they are based, they are surprising music lovers everywhere. After an appearance at the Costa Festival in Ibiza they’ve been building their reputation with performances at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Wickham Music Festival, Beardy Folk, New Forest Festival, Glastonbury, Broadstairs Folk Week and The Gate to Southwell to name a few.
As folks familiar with the band will know, Track Dogs have always embraced different styles from Americana to folk, Latino, bluegrass and even blues. Track Dogs demonstrate that they really play their own genre.
