This event is a collaboration between Plot 22 and The Hip Hop Lounge, another instalment of our Local series which aims to promote and nurture talent in the steel city while helping to sustain the spaces that provide a platform for our culture.For this one, we've teamed up with THE HIP HOP LOUNGESheffield’s realest and rawest regular hip hop night follow up from their 6-month residency at The Glass Frog with a special event headlined by scene legend Andy H (Tuesday Club) who’ll be bringing a set of Old Skool classics to the city’s most intimate underground club space Plot 22With a team of resident hip hop DJs who play to the dance floor, plus veteran MCs Vexation (Renegade Brass Band) and Epicentre (Multiverse 3) trading verses over iconic boom bap and moving the crowd, this is going to be a distillation of everything that makes hip hop and rap the foundation of the party.
In light of the ongoing squeeze on everybody's finances, we're trying to strike a balance with the inclusivity and affordability of these events. We're offering free entry for the first hour with a ticket (or £5 on the door), there's also the option of a £5 advance ticket which guarantees entry all night long for those who are financially able to support the venue. Door prices will be £10 after midnight on the night, so it's best to grab yourself a ticket now.
