Oliver!

Lionel Bart's Oliver! is a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, telling the story of a young orphan boy in Victorian England. Oliver escapes the harsh realities of the workhouse and, after an apprenticeship with an undertaker, ends up in the criminal underworld of London, befriending a group of child pickpockets led by the cunning Fagin. Oliver's journey involves encounters with the sinister Bill Sikes and the kind-hearted Nancy, ultimately leading him to discover his true identity and the possibility of a loving family.
