Harp, pennywhistle, bodhran (Celtic hand drum), Celtic backup for guitar and mandolin, Celtic fiddle styles, singing, music sessions and Irish social dancing. This is a perfect event for those with no musical experience or for those who just want to increase their skills.
At 4,800 feet, Camp Sierra is nestled in the beautiful western slope of the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is a wonderful place to leave it all behind and immerse yourself in the joy of creating.

There is something special about so may long-time friends and fans who continue to support the music-life and people of this traveling trio of musicians and story tellers.
The Golden Bough trio is an internationally renowned Celtic/Americana group comprised of Margie Butler, Paul Espinoza and Kathy Sierra. They will be offering a variety of workshops including beginning and intermediate harp and penny whistle, Celtic Backup for strings including guitar, mandola and mandolin, beginning bodhran, Celtic fiddle style, and harmony singing.
Additional activities available will be sessioning, singing round the campfire, Ceili dancing for beginners, general camp shenanigans, "Camp Follies" and a Golden Bough Performance! Is eating delicious food considered an additional activity? The meals our team dream-up are divine, and accomodate typical food allergies!
Note: This 4-day workshop will take place at the beautiful Camp Sierra, just beyond Shaver Lake. It is about a 4 hr drive from the SF Bay area, about 4.5 hrs from southern California. More data will be sent upon registration.
