WHO IS THIS FOR?
For people in the coaching and healing arts, equine assisted services (EAS) professionals — and individuals interested in personal growth.
THE EXPERIENCE
This weekend is designed to provide participants with a first-hand experience of The Equus Effect curriculum.
• Some may go on to the 9-month facilitator training
• Others will participate for their own personal or professional growth
• ALL will gain a deep understanding of how the work with horses, somatic practices and psycho-education combine to accelerate their own ability to build healthy, authentic relationships.
THE PROCESS
Participants experience our multi-component program for themselves as a stand-alone weekend or a prerequisite for facilitator training through The Equus Effect Academy.
BROAD RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
The Equus Effect curriculum was developed with the veteran experience in mind, but we have discovered that it renews and rebalances nervous systems for many different types of people.
Military * First Responders * Clinicians * Students * Families * Women
INSIDE THE EQUUS EFFECT PART I is an intensive weekend that includes the same experiential learning and didactic material we deliver to clients in our four-session curriculum.
• Ground-based Natural Horsemanship Skills
• Interactive Emotional Agility Presentation
• Body-based Tools drawn from Somatic Experiencing®
• Community Table
• Group Processing
• Individual Reflection
INSIDE THE EQUUS EFFECT PART II focuses on The Enneagram, a system that describes nine distinct worldviews, underlying motivations. It includes both strengths and blind spots that can become barriers to interacting with others. This weekend gives students the opportunity to look at triggers, facilitation styles, approaches to conflict, feedback and issues that can either enhance or take away from one’s ability to work with different clients.
• Enneagram Workshop
• Breakout Groups
• Community Table
• Work with Horses
Both offer opportunities to become more self aware and more able to handle people and situations in both professional and personal situations.
