Bird Walk with the Sharon Audubon Center

In partnership with the Sharon Land Trust, Join Bethany Sheffer of the Sharon Audubon Center for a guided bird walk at Twin Oaks. We’ll look and listen for bird species that depend on open field habitats—grasslands and meadows that offer essential nesting and foraging space. Participants will also learn about American kestrels and have a chance to observe the family that nests in the preserve’s kestrel box.

The walk will also include a brief introduction to eBird, a free citizen science app that helps birders of all experience levels track and share their sightings. Interested participants are encouraged to download the app in advance.

This walk is best suited for older children and adults. Bring binoculars if you have them, and come prepared for a slow, attentive walk on uneven terrain.
