Summer Teacher Paddle

Empower yourself to become the riverway steward your students can look up to!

Join Wild Rivers Conservancy, National Park Service, and teachers like YOU by diving deep into our K-12 environmental education curriculum, Rivers Are Alive. We will spend the day exploring engaging activities, educating ourselves on the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and its watershed, and reconnecting with nature through outdoor adventures. 

Our summer workshop will get us on the St. Croix River, focusing on our Let’s Go Birding Program as we kayak from Interstate State Park to Osceola Landing. Prepare for a day spent outdoors while discovering more opportunities for learning for you and your students!

This is a fully supported paddle with kayak, life jacket and paddle provided. Lunch will also be provided. 

Cost: $30

Vehicle Admission: Free

Paddle Length: 3-4 hours

Paddle Difficulty: Good for beginners

Bathrooms: Vault toilets at MN Interstate, vault toilets at Eagle’s Nest, restrooms at Osceola Landing

Where to Meet: Osceola Landing

Recommended items to bring/wear:

• Adequate water
• Snacks (if wanted)
• Polarized sunglasses
• Binoculars
• Quick drying clothing that correlates to weather conditions
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Closed toe shoes that can get wet

Cancelation Information:

For the safety of participants and staff, this program may be canceled due to inclement weather such as heavy rain and thunderstorms. Participants will be notified via email and event pages will be updated if the program is canceled.

Refund Policy:
There are no refunds for participant-initiated cancelations.
