MEDHURST X WILDPIE
This Father's Day — Saturday, 7th September — Medhurst is teaming up with Wildpie, a Beechworth-based venture led by award-winning chef and culinary trailblazer Jo Barrett.
Jo and her team are reimagining the humble meat pie — tackling food waste, supporting sustainable practices, and showcasing wild Australian game in the most delicious way possible.
"We care about the environment, great pies, and making wild meats more available for the conscious consumer. Our handmade Australian wild game pies are more than just a meat pie. They're a pie with a purpose — to use invasive species that are free range, organic, and nutrient dense. The simple act of eating a pie can be both delicious and impactful."
Medhurst Wines is a boutique vineyard in the Yarra Valley, established by Ross and Robyn Wilson with a strong focus on crafting premium, handcrafted wines. Planted in 2000, the vineyard includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz — varieties chosen for the site's ideal micro-climate, north-facing slopes, and excellent drainage. With a philosophy of quality over quantity, the vineyard is meticulously managed, producing low yields of intensely flavoured fruit.

Our wines, 'Food for Wine' menu and a delicious selection of Wildpie pies will be available all day, 11am-4pm.
