We – Youth Association in Sierra Leone, Youth Build Sierra Leone, Global Youth Network for Empowerment and Development, Youth Partnership for Peace and Development, Creative Hub Africa in collaboration with the Government of Sierra Leone serving as the host of this side event are thrilled to thoroughly look at our best practice for sustainable finance in order to enhance sustainable development in Sierra Leone.

Our Side event is focused on the following thematic areas:
International trade as an engine for development
International development cooperation
Domestic and international private business and finance
Science, technology, innovation and capacity building

We want to thoroughly discuss and tender recommendations on how Sierra Leone can increase domestic revenue mobilization from 12.6% of GDP in 2017 to 20% by 2023; how can Sierra Leone improve on Expenditure Management and Control; ; how can Sierra Leone strengthen fiscal risk management and fiduciary oversight of MDAs, SOEs and public sector projects; ; how can Sierra Leone Strengthen Research capability of MOF and policy formulation processes; ; how can Sierra Leone improve public debt management; ; how can Sierra Leone improve on the processes of budget preparation, execution and payment system; To Strengthen the Administrative, HR Management, ICT capability of the Ministry of Finance for effective service delivery; To strengthen Fiscal Decentralization for improved service delivery at the sub-national level
