The turban, evoking the exotic Ottoman Empire, was a chic head covering particularly favored by mature ladies for evening wear. In this workshop you will modify a buckram base to fit your head. Then choose from a selection of luxurious fabrics to drape your toque-style turban on the base. Add finishing touches from a variety of feathers, tassels, cords, and other fripperies. Basic hand sewing skills are required.

Dr. Ann Wass has been studying Regency era fashion for 3 decades. She looks forward to guiding participants in creating this distinctive headwear.
