YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS - Bucket List Challenge Event

Join us on this bucket list challenge as we take on the infamous 'Y3P'.

We encourage all attendees to book accommodation the evening before (Friday 13th September) in order to be up and ready for an early start. This will be a long day by any measure. Your guides will be staying at Holme Farm Campsite and meet you at the start of The Golden Lion Hotel, BD24 0HB.

Meeting in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, we first ascend the recognisable bulk of Pen-y-ghent, on to Whernside and finally Ingleborough. This is one of the most iconic hiking challenges in the UK and for good reason. Of course, the summits reveal breathtaking views but the valleys hold historic sites and natural beauty around every turn.

3. Ingleborough

There is very little technical terrain and the little there is is very simple. Your guides are on hand for safety, tips and advice and there is nothng that is not achiveable at beginner level. This is a challenging hike in a remote mountainous environment. A good level of fitness is required. Groups are encouraged to stick together and there are no medals for finishing first.

Parking: There is parking in and around the village, including the Golden Lion Hotel.

Total ascent: 4,650ft (1,420m)
Duration: 12hrs (approx)

Your guides will be at the official start point (The Golden Lion Hotel) for your arrival from 06:00. We aim to all meet at 06:15 for a prompt 06:30 departure.

ESSENTIALS
You MUST have the following in order to take part:

A good pair of walking boots or trail shoes.
(Trainers are not suitable for mountain hiking.)

A waterproof jacket and a warm layer.
(Even when the weather seems good, the mountains can change quickly.)

Drinks to last the day, lunch and snacks.

Filled in our PARQ Form and have it acknowledged by one of our team.

All our events are over 18s only.
No dogs allowed. (Sorry. We have them too).
