OPAS Field Trip: Dungeness Bay – Returning Shorebirds

Registration required. Limited to 15 participants.

Join field trip leader, Bob Boekelheide, starting at 3 Crabs WDFW parking lot (at west end of Three Crabs Rd) at 8:30 A.M. After surveying Three Crabs birds, the group will travel to Dungeness Landing County Park, on Oysterhouse Rd off Marine Drive.

Post-breeding migration is already here. Early July brings adult shorebirds, already finished with nesting in the Arctic, taiga, and prairies. Many are still in flashy breeding plumages.
