About the event

March Monthly Meeting
Join us as Gordon Rogers, Executive Director of Flint River Keepers, discusses the Flint River's significance to our region. One of the South's most precious resources, the Flint provides water for communities, farms, and industry while offering exceptional recreation. With 220 undammed miles, it's one of only 40 rivers in the U.S. flowing more than 200 miles unimpeded. However, proposals to dam a 50-mile stretch for Atlanta's water needs have placed it at #2 on American Rivers' Most Endangered Rivers list.

As always, the doors open at 6:30 PM for light refreshments and the program will start at 7:00 PM. Members are always FREE and guests are asked to donate $5.00 per person. Everyone is welcome to attend.
