Artworks Gallery Offers 2-Weeks of Still Life in Mixed Media Workshops
The Artworks Gallery offers a two-weeks of Still Life in Mixed Media Workshops with Roberta Nelson on Thursdays, September 11 and 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. These workshops encourage having fun composing an interesting still life using a combination of dry and wet mediums, that create interesting textures and atmospheres. The workshops will be held at the Artworks Gallery, 109 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls.
Roberta explains, “The wet medium used will be watercolors and the dry colored pencils or pastels. Emphasis will be placed on arranging single objects into interesting and balanced compositions based on the principles of design and then enhanced by texturing and shading. Please note: the second class builds upon the previous one.” Participants need to bring watercolors, brushes, palettes, pencils, erasers, and watercolor paper 140lb. wt., colored pencils or pastels. The instructor will provide information sheets and textural materials.
