Die-In : Day of Mourning

The death of democracy is at our doorstep.
Join us as we mourn and peacefully protest, near Rep. Luna's office, the current Administration's anti-democratic and outright cruel policies, devastating budget cuts, and the catastrophic effects that are - or will be - felt by so many.

Dress in black, bring a tombstone sign bearing the name of what we're losing: In Memory of Due Process - RIP Bodily Autonomy - In Memory of Checks and Balances - RIP Freedom of Speech - RIP Cancer Research - In Memory of Congress That Serves the People, RIP DEI, RIP Dept of Education, In Memory of NPR, Head Start, VA Services, CDC, A Child who died of a Preventable Disease, Suicide and Crisis Hotlines, and more...

We'll gather along 113th St, form a solemn line, and march together. We'll place our tombstones and lie on the ground/sidewalk (if able) in a symbolic gesture of what has been lost or is in jeopardy of being lost.
