We’re launching our 3rd bouldering meetcute and continuing to refine the event based on everyone’s feedback. Here’s what you can expect:
🎯 Algorithm-based matching, not random chance
We’ve created our first simple matching algorithm with the help of an awesome developer. This will prioritise pairing you with people who have similar preferences and beliefs.
🔄 Conversation cards that go deeper
Skip the "What do you do?" small talk with guided question cards designed to reveal genuine compatibility. Feel free to use them at any time!
👩 Women-led interaction design
Women are the ones to move and initiate conversations in a safe, vetted environment that prioritises autonomy and equality.
✨ Have fun climbing together
Even if romance doesn't spark, you'll still get to climb together and meet like-minded people who share your passion for sport!

Who is this event for?
This event is for singles to connect with other singles through conversation and guided group climbs.
If I've never climbed before, can I still come?
Climbing is a beginner friendly sport, and the folks at Boulder Planet will do all they can to introduce you to the sport and give you a great first time climbing experience! If you've never climbed at Boulder Planet before, here's your chance to check out this gym + sport + hangout with other singles in a pressure free and chill environment!
Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?
Please wear proper gym attire, preferably long pants, and socks. Invisible or ankle socks are not recommended. Come with an open mind and willingness to engage in the conversation.
Where will the event be located?
Boulder Planet Sembawang.
Will there be refreshments provided?
There will be a water cooler available at the venue.
Is it going to be cold there?
This venue will not require a jacket. Expect to sweat once you start climbing!
Can I arrive late or leave early?
While we understand schedules can be challenging, arriving late will impact the experience of the other attendees. The event is designed as a cohesive experience, and early parts often lay groundwork for later activities. If you must arrive late or leave early, please let us know in advance.
Will I be required to share personal experiences?
All sharing is voluntary. While participation enhances the experience, you always maintain control over what personal information you choose to disclose.
Will what I share be kept private?
This event operates under the Chatham House Rule. The Chatham House Rule states: "When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed."
Will there be photography at the event?
Yes, we capture photos during our events to share the experience with our community and for future event promotion. We understand that not everyone is comfortable being photographed, and we respect your privacy preferences. Just let us know through our insta DMs.
How will photos be used?
Photos from the event may be used on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and future event promotions. All images are used in accordance with our privacy policy and only to showcase the community nature of our events.

What is "Meetcute"?
According to the internet dictionary, The meaning of MEET-CUTE is a cute, charming, or amusing first encounter between romantic partners (as in a movie).
HTHT’s MeetCute events reimagine traditional speed dating by decentering the focus on finding “the one”. Instead, we focus on providing a space for shared positive experiences around common interests with activities and structured conversation prompts grounded in relational science.
