Kayla Caselli is the sustainability and resilience officer for the City of Tampa. Born and raised in Florida, she is passionate about protecting and restoring Florida’s native ecosystems while building resilient urban cores to make room for more than 1,000 new residents who move to her home state per day. Projects are as diverse as the definition of sustainability, and have included urban forestry, coastal resilience, waste reduction and extreme heat.
