Sedona’s Gallery of Modern Masters Celebrates the Equinox
Sedona, AZ — As the days and nights strike their perfect balance this fall, the Gallery of Modern Masters invites you to step into the space between light and shadow — where so much of life, beauty, and meaning reside. On Friday, October 3rd, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, the gallery will host its Equinox First Friday Art Event, a celebration of contrast, harmony, and the transformative power of art.
For over 20 years, Gallery of Modern Masters has been a cornerstone of Sedona’s Art Community, dedicated to presenting high-quality, thought-provoking investment art. Recognized as a premier art destination, the gallery continues its mission to bring works that inspire, challenge, and transform. This October, Between Light and Shadow promises to be one of its most evocative exhibitions yet.
“Between light and shadow is where the magic happens,” says the curatorial statement for the show. “It’s where we find reflection, clarity, and the courage to step into something new.”
This special event brings together three extraordinary artists, each exploring the beauty and tension of this liminal space through their distinctive mediums:
Pete Tillack — Tillack’s paintings are masterclasses in storytelling. Using a refined blend of surrealism and realism, he captures life’s pivotal moments — those threshold spaces where we must choose growth, authenticity, and connection. His moody palettes and symbolic narratives draw viewers into deeply personal journeys.
Lenore Diamond Robins — Robins’ signature three-dimensional resin paintings are bold, geometric, and full of light. Her layered compositions shift and transform with every change in perspective, creating an interactive dance between viewer, color, and form.
Licha Ochoa Nicholson-Nicholson’s kiln-formed and fused glass works are luminous explorations of texture, pattern, and color. Drawing inspiration from her Mexican-American heritage, she creates vessels and sculptural pieces that echo ancient symbolism while feeling fresh and contemporary.
