Scrub Jay Conservation

October 14, 1 to 2pm - Scrub Jay Conservation. Nora Fosman, a volunteer with Indian River County’s Scrub Jay monitoring program, will give a presentation on efforts to protect the jay. She will be joined by Stephanie Lovallo, a retired art teacher (who has work entered in the art show), for a demonstration on the importance of birds in local art. Stephanie is also a member of the Vero Beach Art Club, a teacher at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, and passionate about nature and birds. Scrub Jays are the only endemic bird in Florida, are right here in our backyard, and are federally protected. This event will be at the IR Lagoon Estuary Program offices, second floor, is free and open to everyone. Nora and Stephanie will provide handouts to attendees, so please join us for an interesting, informative, and fun presentation.
