Swedish Woodcarving with Mark Olsen
Learn traditional woodcarving techniques, tool sharpening, and design layout in this introductory course at the Swedish club. Tool and wood selection will be covered.
No experience necessary and wood material will be provided for the two projects.
The theme of this beginning course is St. Olavsleden - a pilgrim trail through Norway and Sweden, dedicated to Olav Haraldsson. The inspiration for the projects is a trail marker and the Frösö Runestone.
Dates: Fridays September 26, October 3, and 10, 2025
Cost: $225/250 (Swedish Club members/General admission) Cost covers all three dates.
Tools and materials: Beginner tools can be borrowed from instructor. Materials will be provided.
