Severed: Mohamed Saleh's Journey

To mark October as Disability Awareness Month and to highlight Palestine as a disability justice issue, we're showing the excellent 2025 documentary "Severed." This 35-minute documentary by Donkeysaddle Projects follows the journey of Mohamed Saleh, who has lived through multiple bombings in Gaza and lost his leg at age 12. Now 18, Mohamed has been evacuated to Egypt for additional surgeries and therapy, and is studying remotely to pass his high school exams. He hopes someday to be a nurse. Following the film, you'll hear from a panel of disability activists and healthcare workers, including a physician who has worked directly with amputees from Gaza. Plus Q&A. Free admission, with suggested $10 donation. All donations go to Donkeysaddle Projects, to support families in need.
