Salsa Social Dancing with DJ Maven + Drop-In Lesson (All Ages)

Enjoy our beautiful historic ballroom, with colorful lights, a gorgeous restored fir dance floor and DJs that bring the heat for our Salsa Saturday. Our DJs will play bachata as well, depending on the mood of the crowd.

SALSA: Salsa is a Latin dance influenced by several styles, like mambo and rumba. The dance is characterized by energetic footwork, spins, and turns. We teach On1, which is characterized by a lot of spinning and dancing in a slot (unlike Cuban or Cumbia styles).

BACHATA: Bachata is a Latin dance from the Dominican Republic characterized by sexy body movement, syncopated footwork and free style moves that alternate between closed and open position. We teach both Dominican Style Bachata (footwork & musicality) and Modern Style Bachata (patterns & close embrace).

Price: $30 for Dance & Class (Dance Only: $20)($5 with a valid student ID for all DJed events)
Age Requirement: All Ages in the Emerald
Beginner Lesson: 8:30pm to 9:30pm
Social Dance: 9:30pm to 1:30am
