Come join us at The Beacon Cinema for the premiere of ‘Engrams from the Floral Couch', a multimedia project by Strong Black Coffee (Christopher Miller) that reimagines their debut self-titled album through remastered tracks, a photobook, and a short film.

Experience a night of multimedia work from a handful of independent artists with a drink in hand! The evening will feature an introduction to the project, a small handful of shorts, and the premiere of Engrams From The Floral Couch followed by a short Q&A. Merch for the project will be available, including the vinyl and photobook.

Concessions will be available for purchase, and all outside food is permitted. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Strong Black Coffee: Engrams From The Floral Couch

Drawing inspiration from the ambiance of dark diner coffee, warm summers, and unforgiving winters, Strong Black Coffee invites listeners to experience the music from a visually nostalgic perspective. The accompanying photobook features written pieces by poets and creatives who offer their diverse perspectives and charged emotional depth.

The project culminates in a short film that frames each piece within vignettes, placing viewers in liminal and curious scenes. Originating in upstate New York and revisited years later, ‘Engrams from the Floral Couch’ serves as a reflection on recalling familiar places, honoring quiet supporters, and unsteady courage to face the future.
