While Seattle's Comp Plan has been grabbing all the headlines lately, the anologous but different Design Review process is also undergoing major changes and stands to impact downtown even more. Join us for this timely, educational session on the pending changes and learn how to make sure your voice remains an important part of shaping our shared neighborhood and City.
In a city as dynamic and complex as Seattle, the voices that are least heard often hold the greatest insight into how we move forward together. When residents come together with shared purpose, they bring lived experience, clarity, and collective wisdom to the civic process. But too often, meaningful participation can get stifled by opaque procedures and bureaucratic barriers. It is time for change: time to reset the table, rebuild trust, and create systems where participation is welcomed, valued, and easy.
The Downtown Community Council is excited to be collaborating with our surrounding councils including South Lake Union Community Council (SLUCC) and Pioneer Square Residents Council on this important program. Thank you SLUCC for hosting all of us!
