We're teaming up with theater companies across the city for a costume sale! This is a rare opportunity for costume collectors, fashion lovers, and textile enthusiasts to shop the closets of some of Seattle's largest theater companies.
The Seattle Opera costume shop, along with Village Theatre, Seattle Rep, Union Arts Center (formerly ACT and Seattle Shakespeare), and Pacific Northwest Ballet will have a combined 2,500 pieces from their collections on sale to the public, as well as accessories and supplies.
Visitors will find a remarkable range of styles to choose from, with everything from the most extravagant gowns and elaborate outfits to basic items like shirts, shoes, and hats. Costumes span time periods from the 1600s to the modern day, and include everything from contemporary attire to the fantastical.
This one-day sale takes place Saturday, September 27 at the Opera Center. Admission will be available by time slots, with access 9:30–11:30 AM for $40, 11:30 AM–1:30 PM for $25, and 1:30 PM–4:00 PM for $10.
Tickets go on sale Monday, August 25, at 12 p.m. Door tickets will be subject to availability on the day of the sale, so purchasing tickets in advance is highly encouraged.
