Join The People's Echo on Friday, October 17th for a community song circle! This month, we invite you to bring songs that honor ancestors or invite us into the coziness of darkness and rebirth—to bring us closer to, what is for many folks, a 'spooky' season to come! All voices are welcome, and no singing experience is necessary.
Our Community Song Circles are spaces for YOU to teach & share the songs that are nourishing you in this moment. Whether you are sharing for the first time, are a seasoned songleader, or simply want to sing along, we welcome all voices. Bring songs to teach and share with the group, or simply to show up and sing along! Songs are taught call-and-echo style and are learned by ear.
$20-30 suggested donation.

No one turned away for lack of funds.
We are a volunteer-run organization, and we collect donations at our events so we can harness the beauty and inspiration of our community singing events to support organizations working towards liberation. How these funds are used: We will donate 50% of the funds we collect to a different organization in need for every song circle we host. The other 50% of funds we collect are set aside to pay for venue spaces and to compensate future guest songleaders.

WHAT IS THE PEOPLE'S ECHO?
The People’s Echo is a healing-centered song collective based on Coast Salish Lands. We catch and share songs as medicine for these times, and tend to community through the practice of joining our voices in song. Our mission is to heal ourselves and the world through the practice of community singing and to reclaim our voices as instruments for personal and collective liberation.
