Cake Party

Brought to you by @zoekahn and @shewillbewandering, Cake Party is inspired by the viral Cake Picnic in SF (started by Elise, @saltedrye). Our Seattle Cake Party will bring together beloved bakeries and home bakers to share their cake creations with the masses. This event is for anyone who loves to bake (you do not need to be a professional)! We are very excited. Please keep reading to understand how this works.

The most important part of Cake Party: You MUST bring a cake to share with everyone! This event only works if there's enough cake to go around. One ticket = one cake in tow. Two tickets = two cakes. Please bring a cake that you absolutely love and would want to personally eat. If you are unable to bake a cake, you can purchase one from a local bakery. NOTE: all cakes must be bigger than 6 inches wide and 3 inches tall!

There will be a designated amount of time for cake slice selection. Aim to take as much cake as you brought (the slices you take should equal the size of the cake you brought). That feels fair!

Here's how it'll work:

• By purchasing a ticket, you're agreeing to bring a cake
• If you are unable to bake a cake, you can purchase one from a local bakery (no Safeway or QFC cakes!)
• Your cake needs to have a notecard of ingredients - please bring that!
• Your cake also needs to have a stand or dish to rest on - please bring that, too!
• We will provide plastic cake knives and a box for cake slice collection
• A portion of every ticket sale will be donated to our friends at the Ballard Food Bank (they will also have a booth at the event) - ballardfoodbank.org
• You and your cake will be checked in upon arrival (again, every individual attending must have a cake with them)
• Check-in will open at 1:45pm
• Arrive no later than 2:20pm to have your cake included
• Then we'll have a designated period for cake slice selection

After you select your cake slices, head to the outdoor tables at Old Stove Gardens to dig in (the Ballard location)! Bevs will be available to purchase from Old Stove. Note that this event is 21+ - sorry kiddos. Note that kids are allowed at the brewery but cannot participate in Cake Party.
