Book Arts Lab

Do you thrive collaborating and ideating with other spirited artists? Do you want thought partners to think through how to support your artistic concept in book form? Do you feel lonely working by yourself all the time? Come to Book Arts Lab.

Book Arts Lab is a quarterly jam session led by seasoned book artist, Sarah Maker. The group is limited to six people, and you will each get 30 minutes of the group’s focused attention working through your concept. We will talk about how your story can be augmented by structure, materials, scale, content, and housing. This is a great way to introduce new thought patterns into your work, get unstuck, and see things with new eyes.

Note that a book artist is an artist whose medium is the book. This is not a workshop about illustrating books.
