Why is this happening?

In 2021, the Washington State Supreme Court found the drug possession law unconstitutional and void. As a result of this decision, known as State v. Blake, any Blake-related convictions now qualify to be vacated and removed from your criminal record, and any legal financial obligations (LFOs) and related expenses paid as a result may qualify for financial reimbursement.

The State v. Blake ruling impacts an estimated 200,000+ felony drug possession charges dating back to the 1971 and an estimated additional 150,000 misdemeanor marijuana charges are vacate-eligible.

This Blake pop-up is a collective effort to create a friendly, timely, and efficient path to constitutional relief and is presented in collaboration with: Better Life Development Corporation, Civil Survival, Living with Conviction, Tukwila Municipal Court, Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts, and Washington State Office of Public Defense.
