Beatwalk Presents: "Anything Goes" with P.O. BOXX

P.O. BOXX, led by Samoan singer-songwriter Po Leapai, blends soulful vocals with island rhythms to create a unique “island-soul” sound rooted in R&B, reggae, funk, and jazz. Born in Compton and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Po has been a fixture in Seattle’s music scene since the early 2000s, releasing multiple singles, LPs, and collaborations —including the hit “Skankin” with Island Trybe, which gained popularity in Guam. His music draws comparisons to Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Fiji, and Babyface, offering audiences both groove and heart.

Backed by a dynamic live band, P.O. BOXX delivers high-energy performances that transport listeners from urban streets to Pacific Shores. Offstage, Po is a veteran producer crafting beats for the region’s creative community. With a growing catalog and an undeniable stage presence, P.O. BOXX continues to build bridges between cultures through rhythm, soul, and storytelling.
