About the event

BALKAN DANCE PARTY WITH MUSIC BY ZAKUSKA

Zakuska is led by Jana Rickel who is not only our Friday night Seattle Balkan Dancers teacher but also an excellent musician (Bulgarian and Macedonian tamburas, percussion) and singer. The other band members are Susan Niemann (accordion, percussion), Lizzy Pedersen (violin), and Fred Graves (kavals, flute, saxes, percussion). They sing and play dance music from Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Greece, Romania, Croatia and, occasionally, beyond the Balkans.

Bring party snacks and drinks to share.
