Summary: ANTiPODE and Travel Agent have come together to invite atmospheric dubmaster for an evening of immersive and lush selections with live sound design explorations by VVX Subhunters [@enereph + @august_sysex] and Travel Agent [@tondiue + @watt_er].

Gi Gi
Texas native Gi Gi deals in head-down propulsive music. He’s released on an international cast of labels including Good Morning Tapes (AUS), Quiet Time (USA), and INDEX:Records (UK). Utilizing a collage-based approach that takes in a wide swath of source material, the result is a peculiar strain of ambient dance music equally at home in headphones or the back rooms of a club.

As a DJ, the introspection that characterizes his music echoes throughout, but the net is cast wider. The energy inches upwards, and styles that trace contours in his productions present themselves more directly. Gi Gi brings nuance and warmth to his DJing, nudging dancers towards reflection and loungers towards movement.

VVX Subhunters

The duo of Connie Fu (aka enereph) and Augustina Moore (aka august V.M.) weave their distinct practices of sound design, songwriting, and body attuned sonic alchemy into a pulse that feels both subterranean and tidal.

Travel Agent

Travel Agent is the first collaborative project of Cameron Kelley and Ruben Griggs. The two channel over a decade of shared conceptual development to synthesize truly boundless electronic music. Though no sound is off the table for Travel Agent, the music tends towards the textural, dubwise, and hallucinatory while keeping a distinctly optimistic bent. This is music of possibility, opportunity, initiative.
