An Evening with Muskeg

Please join us for a great night of music when MUSKEG returns to the Starboard Lounge!

Rural Electric members Alan Gibson, Andrew Carpenter and Mike Bahner have been collaborating with singer-songwriter Alyssa Kelly ever since their paths crossed at a Belfast, Maine house party in spring of 2019. By 2020, Sean Ociepka, bassist from the Leaky Boot Jug Band, joined to complete the new sound. Branding themselves Muskeg, the five Waldo County-based musicians perform a merged collection of original tunes that span decades of rock-n-roll audacity and day-job preservation. Their Americana sound delivers poetic lyrics, vocal harmonies, and traces of their alt-country and indie rock heroes. They blush when listeners liken them to Uncle Tupelo or Big Thief. Throwing caution to the wind and ego out the window, Muskeg is simply committed to making quality music together.
