GROUNDATION -More than two decades into a storied career, GROUNDATION has helped define American roots reggae, while building a large and loyal following in Europe, South America, Australia/New Zealand, and the US where they have been a consistent major headliner and festival attraction for the last 18 years.
GROUNDATION formed in 1998 when Stafford started a roots reggae/jazz fusion group with fellow students at the Jazz Performance program at Sonoma State University. Stafford’s interest and knowledge of the reggae genre led to him developing and offering a course he taught at Sonoma State called “The History of Reggae Music.” Reggae legends like Joseph Hill of Culture and historical icons like Abba Melchezadek (Haile Selassie’s private secretary) amongst others came and shared their personal experiences with the classes.
GROUNDATION’s first two albums, Young Tree and Each One Teach One, established their unique roots sound, while also commencing collaborations with foundational reggae artists. Each One Teach One features the vocalist Marcia Higgs and the Nyabinghi drumming master Ras Michael. In 1999, while in Jamaica, Harrison met the legendary studio engineer Jim Fox, who did extensive production and recording for RAS Records, including their most iconic releases. This was the beginning of a longstanding relationship between GROUNDATION and Lion and Fox recording studios. Subsequently Fox re-mastered Young Tree and Each One Teach One and he recorded and mixed Hebron Gate (2003) the album that solidified their unique and jazzy approach to their music. Fox has continued working with GROUNDATION on their subsequent releases helping to shape their sound on We Free Again (2004), Upon The Bridge (2006), Here I Am (2009), Building An Ark (2012) and A Miracle (2014). Together they built a catalog of genre-bending, deep, progressive roots reggae music.

E.N started performing when he was 15 years old and in 2002 he became a member of the band Stranger. As a band they put out four studio albums and toured on the West coast, including Guam and Hawaii; which led them to win the San Diego Music Award in 2009. In 2005, E.N Young met Bonita/Chula Vista locals, Roots Covenant. They played the strongest and most authentic roots reggae sound on the West coast and backed 30+ Jamaican artists. In 2010 E.N began pushing his solo career by releasing his first debut album ‘Luck & Chance No More’ under his new label, Roots Musician Records; he became the first artist under RMR and began to tour as a solo artist. Along his musical path, he has played onstage with many influential reggae artists including Quino Big Mountain, Devastators, Johnny Clarke, Triston Palma, Sammy Dread, Heptones, Everton Blender, Jah Batta, Michael Palma, Sister Nancy, Edi Fitzroy, Anuhea, Tamarama, Stranger, Carlton Livingston, Don Carlos, Slightly Stoopid, the Abyssinians, Clear Conscience, Eek A Mouse, English Man, Gonzo, Tribal Seeds, Milton Henry and more.

In May 2011, E.N went into studio with Tribal Seeds to produce their new EP ‘SoundWaves.’ The EP was released in July and received world-wide attention. From Hawaii to New York, E.N Young completed a fall national tour as the opening artist for Tribal Seeds. A year after that E.N officially joined Tribal Seeds, playing keyboard, melodica and singing.

Construction of E.N’s studio, Imperial Sound Recording Studio took place in August of 2012 and was completed in January of 2013. Imperial Sound is the most southwest recording studio in the United States; bordering Mexico and the Pacific Ocean. It was a dream that has manifested into a professional recording studio. The doors to Imperial Sound were officially opened on January 2, 2013. As soon as the studio was ready bands began to come through the studio to record some great records. Some of those bands include: Tribal Seeds, High Tide, HIRIE, K Bong, Beyond I Sight, Gonzo, Inna Vision, Clear Conscience and Without Papers. Imperial Sound Recording Studio is located near the Imperial Beach in sunny San Diego, California.

Bobby Hustle-Seattle, Washington-born reggae songwriter and performer, now residing and recording in Los Angeles. His story and sound are like no one else's!
Bobby was first exposed to Jamaican-style music in middle school when he became fascinated by the island rhythms being re-purposed by third wave ska bands like Sublime, Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish. His adolescent interest in that sound eventually led him straight to the source and he quickly discovered that Jamaica had a lot more to offer than just ska. He began to explore reggae crafted by Jamaican artists who were popular at the end of the 90s – artists like Anthony B, Capleton, and Sizzla – and he quickly became obsessed. He scoured the Emerald City for any reggae record he could get his hands on, hoping to soak up as much Jamaican music, dialect, and culture as he could.
In 2010, Bobby Hustle began voicing reggae productions and, true to his name, he has worked industriously for labels from all over the world. In addition to his home camp, Loud City Music, he has written and recorded songs for many prominent outfits like the bicoastal American crew, Lustre Kings Productions, and German super-group, Jugglerz Records. Since his debut EP, Always On The Hustle, in 2011, Bobby has released five mixtapes, five more EPs and a full length album, It’s The Hustle. In his thirteen year career, Bobby Hustle has contributed songs to over 60 different riddim releases and collaborated with some of the best reggae artists in the world, including the iconic Sizzla Kalonji, prolific artists like Lutan Fyah, Mikey General, Cali P, Collie Buddz, The Movement, Josh Heinrichs and Skillinjah.
