Low Tide Learning; Forager Foods

Are you curious about what lives below the tides? Want to know what’s safe to eat in an emergency situation (or a fun dinner party)? We will explore how to identify and safely and respectfully harvest seaweeds and animals.

Please note, parking is limited. There will be 9 spaces available in a shuttle to the park. The shuttle leaves the Rec Center 30 minutes before class start time.

While everyone is welcome, please be aware there is steep hill down to the beach with a paved trail. There are some large cobbles stones at the bottom of the trail before the sand. There will be walking on sand and some rocks. The rocks will be slippery.

Wear sturdy shoes that can get wet or rubber boots.

Ages 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pre-registration required. You MUST register through our registration link below, in person at the Recreation Center, or by calling 541 265 7783. Any other registration links or offers will be fraudulent. Beware of scammers trying to sell tickets. We have a generous refund policy so people claiming they have tickets they can no longer use are most likely scammers.
