🖼️ Dom Heffer – Delay-a-grams
In a world of 24-hour news, instant messaging and fast everything, Hull-based artist Dom Heffer invites us to slow down. His striking new paintings highlight the gallery as a space for slow looking, focusing on our culture’s relationship with vision—through advertising, entertainment, food, gaming, and the ways we view nature.
🌳 Claire Hewitt – Everything in the forest is the forest
Photographer Claire Hewitt responds to research showing loneliness and isolation rising in rural UK communities. Setting up her studio among a circle of oak trees, she captures the forest’s rhythms and resilience, using sustainable photography techniques to explore how trees nurture, communicate and connect.
